So last year I was lucky enough to get a complimentary voxbox from Influenster to test out Bity Beauty’s The Lip Pencil. The added bonus was that they sent two accompanying Amuse Bouche Lipsticks to try out as well.
It’s taken a while, but I’ve finally put together a little beauty review on my thoughts about these products.
I wasn’t completely unfamiliar with Bite Beauty. I’m a huge fan of their Agave Lip Mask. But, what really gets me excited about this product is that it is produced in Canada.
Full disclosure, I gravitate towards wearing lipstick. I wear it on the regular and stopped wearing glosses years ago (I think gloss makes me look old). I’m also usually very brand loyal, so up until now I’ve only worn Mac lipsticks.
What I Got
In the box I received two lip pencils; 022 – rosey brown and 044 – rich mahogany. To my surprise, I also received two sample size complimentary Amuse Bouche Lipsticks in Honeycomb and Whiskey.
First Impressions
Neither of these were typically colours I would wear daily. I do wear 022 and Honeycomb much more frequently than the other pair, but these wouldn’t be colours I would typically choose for myself.
The Lip Pencil
AMAZING! This is hands down the best lip pencil I’ve every used. It glides so smoothly and there is no pulling to apply it. It is creamy and saturated enough to wear on its own. The only downfall with this pencil is the lid. I often find it without a lid in my makeup bag.
Not sure any improvements have been made since I received my trials, but if they haven’t, that would be my only suggested improvement.
Amuse Bouche Lipstick
Also a great product! It’s a beautiful creamy texture with staying power. When I have to make my next lip colour purchase, I will definitely be checking out this line first.
