family-photography

A few weeks ago we had the pleasure of working with our favourite photographer, Stephanie Mason, and having our fall family photos done.  This is now the third time we’ve worked with her and, by far, the smoothest session we’ve ever had.  In my series last year about family photos I talked about choosing a photographer, picking outfits and what to do once you’ve had the pictures done. This year I don’t have much to add but simply the pleasure of sharing these beautiful pictures.

I think out of all the seasons, fall sessions are my most favourite.  The colours are so vivid and the temperatures are perfect, not too hot or cold.  As you can seen from the pics the colours were out in full force and the location Stephanie picked was absolutely stunning.  Only a few minutes from the city, the location at Sheila McKee Park in Dunrobin was just a gem.

As I mentioned last year, I prefer to have coordinated outfits rather than matching.  I bought the girls similarly coloured dresses from Old Navy and then coordinated Chris’s and my outfit around theirs.  We actually didn’t buy anything for ourselves, just pulled from what was already in our closet.

I’m so thrilled to  share with you the images Stephanie captured for us.  For more of her beautiful work you can follow her on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram.

You can really see the girl’s personalities shine through in these photos and we couldn’t have been happier with the results.  Regardless of whether or not you have a professional capture these moments, I encourage you to document these precious moments as much as you can.

Do you have a favourite season to photograph in?  I’d love to know what it is!
