I love fall! I was so resistant at first, partially because we had amazingly warm weather well into September. But, now that October is in full swing and temperatures have dropped I’m totally relishing in all the fall activities, although my skin isn’t really loving the changing season.
Have you noticed everything getting drier? I have! My cuticles are peeling, skin is getting dry and my lips are starting to crack. So, I thought I’d share a super simple remedy you can do once a week to get super soft lips with one basic household ingredient, sugar.
In a small bowl add a tablespoon of sugar and enough water to make a sugary paste, like the consistency of honey. Using 2 fingers, scoop up the sugar and gently exfoliate in a circular motion for 15-20 seconds. Rinse off with warm water. Easy enough, right? Plus, it’s all natural and pretty easy to make.
In between exfoliations make sure you’re drinking plenty of water and keep your lips protected with your favourite lip balm. My all time fave is EOS lip balm. I’m currently loving my honeysuckle honeydew flavour. You can check out EOS on eBay.
I hope you’re getting out and enjoying this beautiful autumn weather! Make the most of this gorgeous time of year but don’t forget to switch up your beauty routine to start protecting your skin and lips from drying out as we head into, dare I say it, winter (GASP)!
