Happy Friday everyone!
I know, I’m terrible! I promised that this would be an easy and fun weekly post for you guys and then I totally dropped the ball. But I do really enjoy sharing my favourite weekly finds and activities, so I’m going to do my best to get back to this one weekly.
So what’s been going on, well today is Rosie’s 3rd birthday!!!!!!!! This is the first year she’s really gotten the concept of birthdays. We had the first celebration last week and before we were ready to go, she informed us she needed a candle in her cake and would like us to sing to her. Yup, that’s Rosie!
What I’m Reading
Elin Hilderbrand – The Matchmaker
Apparently I just found out these are considered romance novels, but trust me, not in the Fabio kinda way! You might see a few of Hilderbrand’s books in this spot over the next few weeks. Her books are great summer reads and so easy to consume.
What I’m Watching
Pretty Little Liars, for those who don’t know. So I know I’m probably too old to be watching and it is kind of a terrible show, but it’s like a trainwreck, you just can’t look away!
What I’m Listening To
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Dark Necessities
I’ve been a so-so fan of RHCP over the years but this new single is my jam of the moment!
So I’m totally in love with these pyjama’s from Victoria Secret. I was in a few weeks ago when their semi-annual sale was going one (1/2 price sports bras, hello!) and I saw these calling me from a hanger. I love a good set of jammies to lounge in and this super soft and light set is perfect for hot summer nights.
Since we’re celebrating a birthday in our house, I wanted to share this brownie ice cream cake recipe I made successfully several times last summer. This cake is a big hit and super easy to make.
Finally, you’ve probably heard me mention a few times this past week that I’ve most recently changed the look of the blog and I couldn’t have done it without my new WordPress theme from Bluchic and a few stock photos from SC Stockshop. Both of these sites are catered to pretty and feminine visuals that are simple and beautiful. For my new theme I went with the Paisley theme from Bluchic, and the install was a snap! I’ve known for a long time that I wanted my blog to be bright and clean and I also knew that I would have the colour Aqua involved somehow. I chose a few pictures from SC Stockshop’s Mint theme and I couldn’t be happier. I really hope you are enjoying the new aesthetic.
Hope you have a great weekend! As always, come say Hi on social media. You can find me on Instagram, Facebook & Twitter.
